Social Worker and School Advocate

Kelly Lopez Reeve

Social Worker and School Advocate

Kelly is a registered social worker and has been fortunate to work across a variety of  children's services, including a private fostering agency, local authority, and mental health settings, and is also been a foster carer.

Through her career she has developed a deep understanding of the systemic barriers that families face when  navigating complex systems.

In her most recent role within mental health,Kelly supported children and families who had been let down by the education system, where a child's behaviour was too often seen as a problem located within them or their family.

Kelly has recognised that schools  struggle to meet children's needs without adequate funding or access to specialist  training.

Kelly founded DND Training and Consultancy to bridge the gap between families  and schools and for them to see beyond the behaviour and the labels!

Alongside her professional experience, Kelly has lived experience as a parent of a  child who was not adequately supported in education. This personal insight drives my commitment to helping families feel heard and understood, schools to develop the tools and confidence they need to respond effectively.

I believe that every child can thrive when families and schools work together to create the right environment.
